Decoders
Barcode equipment that receives TTL signals from a scanner (i.e. wand, laser, or CCD) and performs the algorithm to translate the signal into meaningful data. The decoder transmits the information to the host computer through an interface cable connecting the keyboard to the host system or via other transmission processes. |

Hands Free Presentation Scanners
Laser barcode reader used to read barcodes of off object passed in front of the scanner. Not for unattended operation (see Fixed Mount Scanners). Products are hand fed and can be scanned in any orientation. |
